Maple Syrup & Rosemary Marinade
The key to incredible chicken is all in the prep. This marinade uses high-quality ingredients like real maple syrup and fresh rosemary to enhance—not mask—the flavor of our pasture-raised chicken. Whether you’re grilling wings or roasting a whole bird, this sweet and savory blend caramelizes beautifully for a rich, golden finish.
Ingredients
- Your choice of KSP Chicken cuts
- ½ cup maple syrup (plus an additional ¼ cup for brushing)
- 1 shallot, diced
- 2 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
- Juice of ½ lemon
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt to taste (we recommend Redmond’s Real Salt)
Directions
- Whisk the marinade: Combine the maple syrup, shallot, rosemary, lemon juice, garlic, and salt in a bowl or jar.
- Marinate: Place your chicken cuts in a resealable bag or airtight container, pour the mixture over them, and coat thoroughly.
- Chill: Let the chicken sit in the fridge for at least 4 hours, though overnight is best for the deepest flavor.
- Cook: Fire up the grill or preheat your oven. As the chicken cooks, periodically brush the reserved ¼ cup of maple syrup over the pieces to build a sticky, sweet crust.
- Serve: Cook until the internal temperature reaches 165°F, then serve and enjoy!
